The short version: The Thursday List is free. We work hard to get the deals right, but the merchants set the terms, so always check with them before you buy. Please do not misuse the site. Forwarding an issue to a friend is always welcome.

Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and SeniorPerksList Media LLC. They apply when you visit seniorperkslist.com or receive our emails. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who can use the site

You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe. Our deals are chosen for people 55 and older, but anyone 18 or over is welcome to read.

The free newsletter

The Thursday List is free. It arrives Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. Eastern. Flash Perk Alerts are optional and arrive no more than twice a month. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We may change, pause, or stop the newsletter at any time.

Deals come from other companies

The discounts, freebies, and offers we list are made by other companies. We do not run them. That means:

  • We cannot promise an offer is still available, or that a price is current.
  • Age rules, membership rules, and locations can change without notice.
  • Each merchant’s own terms apply to your purchase.

Please confirm the details with the merchant before you buy, book, or travel. If you find a deal that has changed, reply to our email and we will fix it. Our Editorial Standards explain how we check deals.

Not professional advice

We write about savings. We are not financial advisers, doctors, lawyers, or insurance agents. Nothing on the site or in our emails is financial, medical, legal, or travel insurance advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.

Our content and how you can share it

The writing, design, logos, and the Perks Directory belong to SeniorPerksList Media LLC or our licensors. They are protected by copyright and trademark law.

You are welcome to:

  • Forward an issue to a friend or family member.
  • Print a page for your own use.
  • Share a link to any page.
  • Quote a short passage with credit and a link back.

Please do not copy whole issues or the Perks Directory onto another website, newsletter, or product without our written permission.

Acceptable use

When you use the site, please do not:

  • Sign up other people without their permission.
  • Use bots or scripts to submit forms or copy content.
  • Try to break into, overload, or disrupt the site.
  • Send us spam, malware, or unlawful material.
  • Pretend to be someone else, including our staff.

We may remove subscribers or block access if these rules are broken.

We link to merchants, travel companies, and other websites. We do not control them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. A link is not a promise that the other site is safe or accurate.

Disclaimers

We provide the site and newsletter “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the site will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SeniorPerksList Media LLC and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes losses from a deal that changed, ended, or was refused by a merchant. Because the newsletter is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity

If you break these terms or misuse the site, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Buncombe County, North Carolina.

Your subscription and your account

You are responsible for the email address you give us. Please make sure it is yours and that you can receive mail there. If you share an inbox with a spouse or partner, either of you may manage the subscription. If you no longer want our emails, unsubscribing is the fastest way to stop them. Please do not mark our emails as spam to unsubscribe, because that can harm delivery for other readers.

Ending your use

You may stop using the site and unsubscribe at any time. We may also stop sending to an address that bounces, that reports our emails as spam, or that breaks these terms. Sections about ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law continue to apply after you leave.

The whole agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure, are the full agreement between you and us about the site and newsletter. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the effective date and mention it in the newsletter. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
