Accessibility Statement

Last updated October 10, 2026 ยท Effective October 1, 2026

The short version: We want everyone to be able to read our site and emails comfortably. If something is hard to use, tell us and we will answer within two business days.

Our goal

SeniorPerksList aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Many of our readers use larger text, screen readers, or a keyboard. We build with them in mind.

What we have done

  • Large text. Body text starts at 19 pixels, and you can zoom to 200 percent without losing content.
  • High contrast. Text and buttons meet or exceed WCAG contrast ratios.
  • Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, and form works with the keyboard alone.
  • Visible focus. A clear outline shows where you are on the page.
  • Reduced motion. If your device asks for less motion, we turn off animations.
  • Alt text. Meaningful images have text descriptions.
  • Works without JavaScript. Reading and signing up work even if scripts are turned off.
  • Clear structure. Headings, labels, and landmarks help screen readers move around.

Our emails

The Thursday List uses large type, big buttons, and plain language. Images have descriptions, so the email makes sense with images turned off.

Known limitations

  • Some merchant websites we link to are not fully accessible. We do not control them, but we tell merchants when we notice problems.
  • Some older issues in our archive may have images with shorter descriptions. We are updating them.
  • Some PDF guides from partners may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will send the information in another format.

How we test

We check new pages with automated tools and by hand. Our team uses keyboard-only navigation, screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA, and browser zoom before we publish major changes. We review the whole site at least twice a year.

Assistive technology

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, along with common screen readers and magnifiers. It also works on phones and tablets in both portrait and landscape.
